Alternative Power has been great to work with, from planning through installation and warranty registration.
The entire house generator quote was effectively communicated through multiple emails and phone conversations. The sales person was well versed in the selection and electrical aspect of the needed work. Following the contract signing, Alternative Power secured city permits and scheduled the installation date. The physical and electrical installation process was completed within six hours, with preliminary electrical approvals obtained from the city inspector. The gas connection was finalized the following day. The start-up was scheduled for after four days of final electrical and gas inspections. The total time for the start-up process was three hours, including and excluding load. I requested the start-up checklist, which should have been provided at the conclusion of the start-up but was delayed for several days. A minor issue was the uncleaned electrical panels, which I vacuumed during the start-up process. It is essential that electrical panels are free from debris. Additionally, the dirt from the electrical conduit ditch was left on top of the nearby condensate drip collection point, which Alternative Power removed the following day.

Easy process from start to finish. Generator (Generac) had a few issues upon initial start up but they were figured out and fixed (not Alternatives fault). The customer service manager Theresa is a major force in getting situations worked out to the customers satisfaction after installation and when she says she will do something she does it! Our service tech Jeremy is great and kept us posted and took the time to explain the issues we were having. Pam in scheduling is great as well for the installation which took two days. She knows all the right people to call! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them again and we will be using them for all our Generac maintenance needs!
